The Future of Human Augmentation

Symbiont Labs

Our Vision

Symbiont Labs is building the infrastructure for the next leap in human evolution. While wearable technology has reached its plateau, the potential for safe, legal, and robust implantable technology remains largely untapped. We are creating the world’s first integrated platform to move biohacking from the fringes into a regulated, accessible reality.

Why Implants?

Wearables are limited by the barrier of the skin. Implants offer a high-fidelity window into the human biometry that external devices simply cannot match.

  • Deep Biometrics: Beyond simple heart rate, our systems can monitor GI acoustics, multi-modal cardiac movement, and myoelectric signals.
  • Molecular Analysis: Future modular microfluidic arrays will track glucose, cortisol, and hormones in real-time.

The Peripheral Interface: While Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) remain high-risk, the peripheral nervous system is accessible. We are developing interfaces that allow for sensory feedback and intuitive control of external digital systems.

Overcoming the Barriers

Regulation & Access

The path to augmentation is currently blocked by two main obstacles. Symbiont Labs is the solution to both.

1. Navigating Regulation

  • Aesthetic & Non-Medical: For transponders, sub-dermal lights, and custom art, we operate within the realm of high-end body modification at our Circuit and Skin partner locations.
  • Clinical Jurisdictions: For advanced biosensors falling under FDA-style jurisdictions, we maintain a dedicated clinical pathway in Honduras. We provide a safe, physician-led environment for placement and testing that bypasses the decades-long stagnation of domestic medical bureaucracy.

2. Democratizing Access

The implant market is currently a monopoly held by three major firms, with hardware costs exceeding $30,000 per unit.

  • Open Source Architecture: We are commoditizing this tech through open-source designs, allowing for rapid community iteration.

Frontier Fabrication Lab: Our facility in Frontier Tower provides professional-grade biocompatible encapsulation and ISO-standard testing at a fraction of traditional costs.

Core Technologies

Open-source Design

The ADAM Module

The ADAM (Advanced Digital Augmentation Module) is our flagship general I/O device. It is a robust, extensible sensor suite capable of monitoring respiratory patterns, pulse oximetry, and temperature, featuring mesh networking and haptic indicators. It is designed to be the "base layer" for any custom implant.

The Symbiont Power Module

Power density is the final frontier of biohacking. Our Power Module utilizes:

  • Hermetically Sealed Titanium: Enclosing high-density Lithium-ion chemistry.
  • Inductive Charging: Glass-to-metal electrode passthroughs for seamless recharging.

Safety First: Engineered to prevent outgassing and fluid contact, ensuring the highest level of biocompatibility.

The Roadmap

Phase I (Current): Establishing the Frontier Fabrication Lab in partnership with Proto7ype Makerspace. We are currently offering sub-dermal aesthetic implants and developing the ADAM reference designs.

-

Phase II (2027): Launching our full-scale cleanrooms and expanding our international clinical circuit. This phase marks the transition to continuous biomonitoring and advanced neural interfacing.

Join the Evolution
